Paxhill Poolhouse

New Pool House For Grade 11 Listed Building

Paxhill is a Grade II designated heritage asset, originally of 1606, but substantially altered and enlarged in 1865. It is listed as Parkhill Park Nursing Home and the associated Coach House, Gazebo, Gate Piers and Garden Walls are listed independently at Grade II.

This scheme started with the production of an accurate model of the existing buildings, walls and differing site levels. Once completed, a detailed solar study was undertaken to determine the best location for the pool house to be able to harness the maximum natural light all year round. A significant amount of time was spent detailing the proposal, by calculating the layout of Yorkstone paving and stone corsing for the proposed pool house. Clay renders for both day and night conditions were produced to present the design's full potential.

Planning and Listed Building consent granted on the 23rd December 2014
